German Taliban Mujahideen

The " German Taliban Mujahideen " describes itself as a small group of Islamists operating in the Pakistani-Afghan border area, whose members grew up in Germany . The group first became known in September 2009 with a video message in which an attack on Germany was threatened. In the video with the title “The Call to Truth”, Ayyub Almani, alias Yusuf O., addressed the German people in disguise. Yusuf O. is said to have left for the Pakistani-Afghan border region in May 2009, and the Federal Prosecutor is investigating him. According to media reports, the 26-year-old was arrested by authorities in Vienna on May 31 and extradited to Germany in mid-June.
