The German Shop Fitting Association (dLv) is a business organization for companies that are active in the field of shopfitting in Germany . The dLv is the only German industry association for shopfitting and has around 180 member companies.

history

In 1980 the association was founded as a specialist department in the HDH by merging the working groups of the wood and metal processing industries. In order to clarify the cooperation between the member companies, the name of the association was expanded in 2005 with the addition "Network Shopfitting". In addition to shopfitting companies, companies from the supplier industry have also been members of the dLv since 1995. In 2000 the dLv relocated its office and headquarters to Würzburg . At the beginning of 2020, the association changed its name back to Deutscher Ladenbau Verband.

The most important control bodies of the association are the board of directors and the general assembly. The board consists of President Eric Oesterhaus, Managing Director Korda-Ladenbau GmbH, Vice President Carsten Schemberg, Managing Director Theodor Schembergeinrichtungen GmbH and five other board members, also active in the shopfitting industry. In addition, the board of directors has the function of contact person for specific topics of the dLv, from the cooperation of the suppliers over seminars up to questions about membership. The dLv office in Würzburg provides all information on essential questions about the association and the industry as well as news and developments and contacts.

The association is a member of the German Council of Shopping Centers and the IFH - Institut für Handelsforschung GmbH. Members of the dLv are the EHI Retail Institute in Cologne and the Swiss Shopfitters (Swiss Shopfitting Association). The dLv works with the VMM - Association for Visual Marketing and various trade magazines and trade fair and congress organizers.

The aim of the association and its member companies is to achieve a modern and trendy shop design through close cooperation. The endeavor to meet the requirements of quality, innovation and aspiration is of fundamental importance.

Through the cooperation with its members and associations, the dLv receives information about industry, company and product developments, which it processes and presents to its members. In addition, the dLv sees itself as a central information and communication platform for the industry .

Shopfitting companies are active in the consulting, planning and design of shops as well as in project management. The development and manufacture of equipment are just as much part of the company's core business as their procurement and assembly.

lighting

Members of the lighting sector manufacture lights, connector systems and related accessories. Lighting advice and planning, the development of lighting concepts and the sale of lights for shop lighting are part of the company's field of activity.

Floor, wall, ceiling

Companies in the floor, wall and ceiling sector provide e.g. B. floor coverings, ceiling technology or wall coverings.

Building and security technology

Companies that operate in the security technology sector produce security solutions for retail. Alarm systems and electronic article surveillance are part of it.

Plates and decors

Companies in the panel and decors sector specialize in panels made of various materials such as wood or plastic or plastic mixtures and surfaces, for example paint.

Fittings, glass, profiles

Companies in this area supply, for example, glass fittings, edges, drawer systems and fittings.

Sales promotion at the POS

Sales-promoting products are manufactured and sold by companies in this field. In-store TV, content creation, the production and sale of, for example, mannequins, lettering or digital signage systems are part of the range of services.

Association work

As a representative of companies in the capital goods industry, the association supports its members by representing and promoting their interests and providing support in day-to-day business. The association presents itself and the member companies at trade fairs, congresses and events and organizes seminars and workshops itself. To inform members, non-members and the media, he organizes surveys, compiles statistics and publishes articles on current topics from the industry. In addition, the work of the association includes participation in various committees and advisory boards and training funding in cooperation with the Swiss shop fitting association Swiss Shopfitters.
