German Association for Insurance Science

The German Association for Insurance Science is an association for the promotion of insurance science.

Purpose and story

The activities of this scientific society, founded in 1899, extend to the implementation of scientific events, annual meetings and specialist conferences as well as the publication of the journal for the entire insurance science and works on insurance science .

In addition, the association maintains an extensive specialist library, also for use by third parties, with around 30,000 monographs, 80 current journals in printed form, a large collection of company commemorations and personal commemorative publications, specialist lexica, databases and, in the future, e-journals and e-books.

The association has around 1200 corporate and personal members.
