The Dhaka Tribune is an English-language daily newspaper founded in Bangladesh in 2013 . The establishment of the newspaper was officially announced in a ceremony at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on April 13, 2013. The owner is 2A Media Ltd under its chairman Kazi Zahin Hasan. According to the editors, the newspaper aims to raise the level of political debate in Bangladesh. It sees itself as politically independent and, according to its own statement, is committed to the basic values ​​of the country, "in particular democracy, national sovereignty and secularism" and wants to "contribute to the development of a proper, just and tolerant society".

The newspaper has taken very liberal positions on controversial social issues on several occasions. In an article on August 29, 2013, she advocated the decriminalization of same-sex relationships. The newspaper also reported extensively and critically on the murders of secularists carried out by Islamists and warned against Islamic extremism.
