The Dhrangadhra Game Reserve or Wild Ass Sanctuary (English for wild ass reserve ) is a protected area in northwest India in the Little Rann of Kachchh . It covers nearly 5000 square kilometers in the state of Gujarat and is located near the city of Dhrangadhra . In 2006 the area was proposed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been on the tentative list ever since .
fauna
The reserve is home to the last population of the Indian half-ass or khur ( Equus hemionus khur ). In addition, there are also Nilgau antelopes , stag goat antelopes , Indian gazelles , wolves , golden jackals, caracals and striped hyenas .
