from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Diabetes Ratgeber was founded in 1978 by the owner of Wort & Bild Verlag, Rolf Becker . Originally the health magazine was called Diabetiker Ratgeber, the title was changed to Diabetes Ratgeber in 2010.

The Diabetes Guide is published monthly and is available free of charge from most pharmacies. The target group is all people who suffer from diabetes mellitus (type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, other forms of diabetes). With a circulation of just under 1.2 million copies, it currently reaches around 2.96 million readers per month. The diabetes advisor focuses on articles that help people with diabetes to cope with everyday life with their metabolic disease (e.g. around insulin therapy, blood sugar measurements, healthy eating, recipes, etc.).

The diabetes guide is subscribed to by pharmacies and given to customers free of charge. From October 2016 the guide will appear in a revised design. At the same time, the magazine is to become more contemporary with a new orientation of the content.
