Diamidophosphates are a group of chemical compounds. These are the salts and esters of diamidophosphoric acid (CAS No. 10043-91-1). The anion is called diamidophosphate , or DAP for short , is an organic phosphate-amino compound and is one of the phosphoramidates .

Effect and meaning

Because of its similarity to diamido hydrogen orthocarbonate, DAP is an effective inhibitor of urease (transition state analog ).

DAP has been linked as a possible phosphorylating agent in the prebiotic evolution of the first organic compounds and precursor molecules of earthly life such as peptides, lipids or nucleotides.
