Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar ( Geographical-Statistical-Historical Dictionary of Spain and its overseas possessions ) is the historical index of Spain including its overseas possessions.
It is a great significant historical work by Pascual Madoz (1806-1870), published between 1846 and 1850. It consists of 16 volumes and contains all the populations and statistical data of the municipalities of that time in Spain from 1845 to 1850. The original volumes are in the Biblioteca Virtual de Andalucía .
