The Thuringian satirical theater and cabaret Die Arche e. V. was founded in 1979 in Erfurt . The venue is the Erfurt Theater Waidspeicher , a former warehouse for woad .

Harald Richter has been managing director of the Die Arche cabaret since 2017 . The ensemble includes Ulf Annel , Andreas Pflug, Beatrice Thron, Dominique Wand, Fernando Blumenthal, Julia Maronde and Björn Sauer. The musicians Burkhard Wieditz (drums) and Yulia Martynova (piano) accompany all productions with their own and guest compositions.

On average, 280 performances from around 10 different productions are played in the cabaret “Die Arche” each year.
