The dog newspaper is a free, German-language print and online magazine for those interested in dogs that has been published since 2011. The print edition appears four times a year with a print run of 100,000 and has around 250,000 regular readers. This makes it the largest animal medium in Austria (according to the Austrian edition control).

The ÖAK- certified dog newspaper deals with topics around the house dog: Questions and worth knowing about the education and training of the dog as well as his health and workload. Information on news from science and research as well as tips for leisure and sport, service topics, current stories, puzzles, race quizzes, book recommendations and event tips are included. Value is also placed on the topic of lifestyle with dogs. There are also holiday tips and summer recommendations for your four-legged friend. The print format is A4.

Editing and distribution

The editor-in-chief is the veterinarian Stefan Moser. The editors are supported in their work by veterinarians, cynologists, dog trainers and behavioral biologists.

Distribution takes place through Austrian veterinarians and small animal doctors, animal shelters, trade fairs and partner institutions (associations, retailers) and the magazine trade. In addition, the dog newspaper is distributed by subscription and on the Internet.
