The MittelstandsPartei - Die bürgerliche Mitte (short name: DMP ) was a German party founded in May 1997 . It took part in the 1998 state elections in Saxony-Anhalt and received 0.3% of the vote. In 2000 she took part in the state election in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2000 and achieved 0.1%. The main goal of the party was to strengthen the middle class in order to create new jobs.

Under its federal chairman, Michael Heinl, the DMP merged in 2002 with the "Schill Party" (later the "Rule of Law Offensive") and, under the chairmanship of Dieter Mückenberger, member of the DMP's federal executive committee, led the state association of North Rhine-Westphalia in the Schill Party as agreed. The last federal chairman of the party "Rule of Law Offensive" was the deputy federal chairman of the DMP, Wolfgang Jabbusch (Oldenburg); he led the party "Rule of Law Offensive" into the "Alternative for Germany" (AFD).

The DMP is no longer politically active, but still exists as an association.
