The sanguine

The Sanguine is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 27). The work was performed for the first time on September 2, 1846 in what was then the Viennese recreation and entertainment location Wasserglacis as part of an open air event.

Remarks

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 10 minutes and 9 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
