The Red Zora (Prize)

The red Zora was a Swiss media prize that was awarded annually from 1991 to 2006 by the Federal Bureau for Equality between Women and Men. The prize was endowed with CHF 10,000 and was awarded for the last time in 2006 because of cost-cutting measures.

The award was given to cultural projects in the field of children's and youth media such as theater, music, literature, film, teaching aids, etc., which thematize the equality of girls and boys, women and men, question role behavior or new, previously unfamiliar forms of common Show the way of life.

The award was named after the classic children's book Die Rote Zora und seine Gang by Kurt Held .
