Digital clearing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Digital clearing (from Latin digitus "finger") is the manual removal of feces from the rectum . It is required when chemical laxatives are unsuccessful. Usually the reason for the constipation is an acute massive solidification of the manure into so-called " manure stones ".

During the process, one to three gloved fingers are inserted into the affected person's anus . In the second step, the fecal stones are collected by bending the fingers and removed from the intestinal tract.
