Dilator (anatomy)

In anatomy, a muscle that causes an opening to widen is called a dilator (“widener”, short for the dilator muscle ) . Its antagonist is called a sphincter (sphincter) or constrictor . Dilators, where the term appears in the anatomical name , are:
