Dildo Island is an island in Trinity Bay off the island of Newfoundland .

Dildo Island is upstream of Dildo . The island belongs to the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador . Archaeological finds on Dildo Island show that the island was used by Eskimos for seal hunting as early as prehistoric times . In 1889 the first cod hatchery for what is now Canada was put into operation there.
