Dimitris Melissanidis

Dimitris Melissanidis (born June 15, 1951 in Nikea ) is a Greek entrepreneur , shipowner and sports official .

Life

Melissanidis began his professional career as a driving instructor in Athens in the 1970s. In 1995 he founded the Greek shipping company Aegean Marine Petroleum Network . Melissanidis has been the owner of the Greek football club AEK Athens since June 2013 . Melissanidis also operates a network of 500 petrol stations in Greece. He holds significant shares in the sports betting provider OPAP .
