Direct store delivery
The term direct delivery (English direct store delivery ), including direct store delivery , referred to in the logistics direct supplies dealer outlets by the manufacturer.
The aim is to harmonize delivery quantities and sales quantities in order to avoid unfavorable delivery combinations and excessively high stocks. Although this results in higher logistics costs for the manufacturer, the manufacturer can at the same time undertake quality assurance and control of the sales channel.
In the case of direct deliveries, there are therefore no intermediate stores on the dealer's side. Direct delivery is used in particular for high-turnover, sensitive groups of goods , but also for entire assortments for large types of businesses .
