Nishen Publishing House

The Nishen-Verlag (also Verlag Dirk Nishen ) was a Berlin publisher that mainly published photo books.

history

The publisher's founder and namesake Dirk Nishen (* 1952) studied German and history as a teacher and founded the publishing house in 1982, which has published among other volumes with historical photographs. In addition to his publishing activities, Dirk Nishen describes himself as a project developer and claims the idea for the info box on Potsdamer Platz . Among other things, the publisher brought out a book about clay stones shards . Among others, Willy Römer , Natascha Wodin and Diethart Kerbs published here . For some time the publisher operated under the name of D&D Kommunikation Verlag Dirk Nishen GmbH & Co KG .

From 1987 onwards, Nishen-Verlag also published the magazine Niemandsland for several years, which was edited by Wolfgang Dreßen , Eckhart Gillen and Siegfried Radlach at the Paul Löbe Institute in Berlin.
