Disk Masher System

The Disk Masher System was a method used on the Amiga to create a compressed image of a floppy disk . The disks were read in block by block, their data structure was retained. The DMS was particularly popular in the demo scene and the warez scene, as this system made it easy to distribute disk images in mailbox networks or generally via remote data transmission.
