Dismissed is a reality TV show on MTV .

In each episode, a young person goes on a blind date with two other people of the same or opposite sex who care about them. They talk about their hobbies and preferences and take them to certain places to have the best possible amusement with her. Using a so-called time-out card (dt. Auszeitkarte ) they have the opportunity to banish their competitors for 20 minutes to be courted with the person alone. At the end of the episode, she has to choose one of the two competitors by rejecting the other after describing her respective positive and negative impressions (English to dismiss ).

For the broadcast, the most important scenes are cut together, supplemented by comments from the participants and highlighted with current music titles.

The US original aired from 2001 to 2002. In addition to these episodes, MTV Germany also broadcast some additional episodes with German participants.
