Division I (chess) 1954
The Division I in 1954 was the fifth Swedish team championship in chess ( Allsvenskan ), while the second edition in a league mode with ascent and descent.

The competitions were held in Gothenburg on November 6th and 7th .
Tournament course
After two runners-up championships in a row, SK Kamraterna Göteborg won all competitions this time and became the new Swedish champion. In second place, the defending champion Stockholm Södra SS reached relegation, while the newcomers Wasa SK and the national team from Skåne had to relegate directly.
