Division by Zero is a Polish progressive rock and metal band that was formed in 2003 in Wojkowice .

history

After the band members had already tried other projects, they founded Division by Zero in March 2003. Together they developed the first songs, which were initially instrumental music , as no suitable singer could be found. Together they recorded the first demo Code of Soul and released it in 2004. In February 2005 the band found a suitable singer in Slawek Wierny. The band then headed to the MAQ Records studio to record another demo called Out of Body Experience . Through the demo, the band reached a contract with Insanity Records in November 2006 . In the meantime, keyboardist Patryk Kumór left the band and was replaced by Robert Gajgier in December 2006. Together the band recorded their debut album, Tyranny of Therapy , which was released in 2008 on Insanity Records. In the same year, the band also performed at ProgPower Europe . In 2010 the second album Independent Harmony was released via ProgTeam .

style

The band plays sophisticated progressive rock and metal, the vocals being particularly characteristic of the vocals of Opeth .
