Division of Laura Lee
Division of Laura Lee is a Swedish punk rock - band , which was founded in 1997 by Per Stålberg, Jonas Gustafsson, Håkan Johansson and David Ojala. The band name refers to the soul singer Laura Lee .
In their style, the band combines punk rock with 1960s and 1970s elements. They are often compared to current garage rock bands like the Hives or The (International) Noise Conspiracy .
Band history
After two split EPs ( Milemaker and Impel ) they released the album At the Royal Club ( Arabesque Records ) and the album Black City ( Burning Heart Records ). In 2003 a demo and single compilation with the name 97-99 was published.
In 2004 their second album Das Not Compute was released , which was partly made with the help of outdated technology in the “Svenska Grammophon Studios”. In 2008 her album Violence Is Timeless was released on the Swedish label I Made This , followed by the work Tree on the label Oh Really !? In 2013.
