The Dock Mill (Monument Number: 488) is a Grade I listed building in Dublin . It was built in the 1870s and is located at 38-40 Barrow Street in Dublin Docklands. The building originally used for grain production is now used as an office building.

Revitalization

The four-story warehouse was built in the Victorian style. The red brick building was bought in 2013 by contractor Chris Jones for 1.3 million euros from contractor Bernard McNamara. Jones invested around 1.4 million euros in converting the warehouse into an office building. The renovation work ranged from underfloor heating in all rooms, through VRF air conditioning systems, underfloor pipes, showers and elevators to internal stairwells. In 2015 , in order to further expand its presence on Barrow Street , Google bought the “Dock Mill” warehouse for 13 million euros and is expected to use it as its own office building.
