Dogleg

A dogleg (English: dogleg = dog's leg ) describes a golf course on a golf course whose fairway is bent or bent to the right (dogleg to the right) or left (dogleg to the left). The change of direction is usually around the point where a good tee shot should land.

A fairway that kinks twice - e.g. B. first to the right, then to the left - is called a double dogleg. Only par-5 holes are long enough to create double doglegs.

The term dogleg is also used to describe the deflection of (deep) holes, as a measure of the curvature of the hole along a certain route.
