Dolmen del Tremedal

The Dolmen del Tremedal (also called Tremeal, Tremal or Dahesa 4) is located west of Montehermoso near Caceres in the province of Cáceres , in Extremadura in Spain .

It owes its name to the close proximity to a water hole. It is the only dolmen in the region that has a short walkway. It was looted early and many of its stones have been reused in buildings in the area. These gaps were filled with new stones during the excavation and restoration in 2003, which were identified on the explanatory sign at the entrance. The round chamber, which has similarities with the dolmens Cerro de la Barca and Lácara , has been deprived of its formerly covering hill, the curbs of which, however, have been preserved or supplemented.

The Dolmen de la Gran Encina and Gran Dolmen are nearby .
