Dolmen of La Lapita
The La Lapita dolmen is located near the BA-026 road, northwest of Barcarrota in the Badajoz province in Extremadura , Spain .
The architecture of the dolmen , not far from the border with Portugal , is influenced by the typical shape of the western Antas and not by the dolmen of Spain.
The dolmen lies in the remains of its hill. Four bearing stones of the chamber and their flat, thin capstone are completely preserved. Three of the chamber and (all) four of the aisle have been knocked off.
Nearby are the El Milano dolmen (also known as Cerca del Milano), one of the largest dolmens in Extremadura and seven other, mostly more heavily damaged, dolmens.
