Domitia Lucilla the Younger
Domitia Lucilla († before 161) was the mother of the Roman emperor Mark Aurel .
Domitia Lucilla was the daughter of Publius Calvisius Tullus Ruso , suffect consul in 109, and the elder Domitia Lucilla . Before 121 she married Marcus Annius Verus . Their children were the future emperor Marcus Aurelius and Annia Cornificia Faustina . It is mentioned frequently in Mark Aurel's self- reflections and in Frontos Epistulae . She was extraordinarily wealthy, largely through inheritance from her mother. They owned many brickworks in the vicinity of Rome; after her death they passed to Marcus Aurelius.
