Domitius Epictetus

Domitius Epictetus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman army living in the 2nd or 3rd century AD .

An inscription that was found at the Arbeia fort and that is dated 121/300 shows that Epictetus was a member of a military unit ( commilitonibus ). According to John Spaul and Eric Birley , he was prefect of the Cohors V Gallorum , stationed in the province of Britannia .
