Donji Humac

Donji Humac is one of the oldest settlements on the Croatian island of  Brač . The settlement is located on a hill in the interior of the island, widely noticeable through its baroque church tower. The nearby Kopačina Cave was settled over 13,200 years ago. In the 2011 census, Donji Humac had 157 inhabitants - well below its greatest expansion at the beginning of the 20th century, when the place had more than 500 inhabitants who left Donji Humac in several waves of emigration.
