Double belt press

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A double belt press consists of two closed belts mounted on rollers. These bands are directed parallel to each other and there is a gap between the upper and lower bands. This gap can be opened and closed mechanically. The beginning of the material to be processed is clamped and the belts then start to run at the desired speed in the same direction, so that the "endless material" or also piece material is pulled through the press. At the same time, pressure is exerted on the material vertically from both sides .

Optional additional devices in the press

Additional devices in the press are, for example, a heating unit for heating the material and a subsequent cooling unit .
