Village development plan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With the help of a village development plan, the further development of a village is planned with the active participation of citizens. This gives them the opportunity to state their wishes and, on the other hand, gives them the opportunity to see individual problems in a larger context. In addition, by dealing with one's own community, awareness of the immediate area of life is strengthened. Many things that would otherwise be forgotten are being rediscovered and revived.

Knowledge of the history of the homeland and the current conditions can give rise to new ideas that further strengthen community life . The acceptance of the implementation of individual public measures is significantly increased. Only measures are carried out that are supported by a large majority.

The planning by experts (Directorate for Rural Development, Office for Agriculture, Planners, etc.) has the task, together with the citizens, of putting the individual aspects they have worked out into a coordinated and generally viable overall concept. Individual desired measures must be professionally assessed and any contradictions to other proposed measures or objectives must be shown. Since public funding is used for individual projects, the planning must be brought into a verifiable form.

The goals and individual measures formulated in the village development plan enable the municipal council to set priorities over a certain period of time that are tailored to the needs of the citizens. These goals, once established, can serve as a decision-making aid when making decisions on individual projects.
