Today it is one of the churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Community of Zapel in the Wismar Propstei in the Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .

The church is a flat-roofed hall building without a tower. It was built from a mixture of field stones and bricks typical of the time and region . In the interior, the altar is decorated with carved figures from around 1500. The stalls also show carvings, dated 1584 and 1688.

A wooden belfry is built on the west side.
