Dorohedoro ( jap. ドロヘドロ ) is a fantasy - Manga Japanese illustrator Q Hayashida , which was published from 2000 to 2018. The series was also published summarized in 23 volumes. In 2020 an adaptation will be released as an anime series.

The story of Dorohedoro is about the human caiman, whose head was transformed into that of a reptile by a magician. He has no memories of his past and is surrounded by puzzles. Nikaidō decides to help Caiman solve his puzzles. He also loves his partner Shuuu. Unfortunately, I can't tell / confess to her.

Dorohedoro was published by Shogakukan in Ikki magazine from December 2000 to 2014 and was continued in Gekkan Shōnen Sunday from 2014 . The series was completed in March 2018. The chapters were also published collectively in 23 volumes. The last volume sold over 30,000 copies in Japan in the first week after its release. The first volume in the series to make it onto the Japanese sales charts was Volume 17 in 2012, with over 21,000 sales in the first week.

An English translation was published by Viz Media , a French by Soleil , an Italian by Panini Comics and a Chinese by Ever Glory Publishing .

Anime

Dorohedoro is slated to air in Japan on January 12, 2020. In the production of studio MAPPA led Yuichiro Hayashi Director. The main author was Hiroshi Seko and the character design was created by Tomohiro Kishi . Shinji Kimura was the artistic director . Yuki Nomoto was responsible for the 3D animations and Masato Yoshitake for the editing .
