Dorsal del Triangolo Lariano
The Dorsale del Triangolo Lariano , in German roughly "Lake Como High Trail", is a hiking trail on the ridge between Lake Como and Lake Lecco . In numerous places you have views of the lakes or the surrounding Alpine peaks. The walking time is between 8.5 and 10 hours. In principle, the path follows the ridge, but the peaks are bypassed in order to save vertical meters. There are alternative routes over the summit, which, however, increase the walking time.
The most important stations are:
- Brunate , here the Como cable car station
- The official start is at the church of San Maurizio above Brunate (874 m)
- Monte Boletto
- Monte Bolettone
- Pizzo dell'Asino
- Monte Palanzone
- Pass summit on Monte Ponciv , at approx. 1420 m the highest point on the route
- The church of Sant 'Andrea south of Bellagio is the official end of the path (210 m)
- The center of Bellagio can be reached in another half an hour
The path is marked on signposts or markings as "Dorsal" or as number "1".
There are a number of huts along the way, where you can eat and sometimes also spend the night. If you split the tour over two days and want to spend the night almost halfway, the Rifugio Riella (at the height of Monte Palanzone) and the Rifugio Alpetto di Torno (just under 1 km away from the path, just before the pass at Monte Ponciv).
In 2013, the route between Monte Ponciv and Bellagio was changed, so that the route now largely runs through forest and only a little along roads.
