The Dräger & Hanse BKK ( own spelling DRÄGER & HANSE BKK ) was a company health insurance fund that was open nationwide . The main administration was in Lübeck , the health insurance company was based in Rostock and it was a public corporation .

Over 230 employees in the branches in Lübeck, Rostock and Wismar looked after around 150,000 insured persons.

history

The Dräger & Hanse BKK emerged in 2003 from the merger of the BKK Dräger and the Hanse BKK.

The Hanse BKK was created in 1997 from the merger of BKK Neptune Warnow (previously: BKK Warnow Werft and BKK shipyard Neptune), BKK North Elbe (previously: BKK transport Schwerin and BKK Elbewerft) and the BKK MTW shipyard. The Hanse BKK had its origins in Rostock in 1854, when the Rostock shipyard and machine factory founded a company health insurance fund for its employees.

The BKK Dräger was founded in 1988. The founding companies Dräger is a company for medical and safety technology.

The Dräger & Hanse BKK merged on April 1, 2011 with the local BKK from Bochum, since October 1, 2015 Viactiv BKK .
