Glandular stomach
As glandular stomach in animals with a complex stomach is called that portion containing glands:
- in ruminants the abomasum ,
- in birds the proventriculus .
Since the entire gastric mucous membrane of animals with a simple single-cavity stomach contains glands, the term glandular stomach can be used synonymously with stomach.
