Draw your partner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Draw Your Partner (DYP, pronounced dip ) refers to the allocation of game partners by lot. This form of team formation is particularly suitable for games and sports in which teams consist of a few, but no fewer than two people. The DYP process has become particularly widespread in the field of table football , where entire series of tournaments may be held using this process. Either for a whole tournament or in the MonsterDYP variant, the teams are reassembled in every round (i.e. for every game). In the normal DYP, single or double KO is generally played, while the MonsterDYP is turn-based and allows you to get in and out later. The ranking is then based on the average number of points per game. DYP tournaments are also occasionally held in darts .
