Epiphany slip

Epiphany slips were blessed slips of paper on Epiphany , which were described with C + M + B , prayers and often with further blessings and sayings.

In southern Germany and Austria, three kings slip was widespread as house protection; in this case they could be attached to the houses instead of the usual star singing blessings written in consecrated chalk. Often, however, like Breverl , they were worn on the body or kept together with other devotional objects .

Other written blessing list were the Agatha list , Saint Benedict Medal and Zacharias blessing .
