The Duala languages are a language group within Guthrie Zone A of the Bantu languages . It is classified as Zone A20 and contains seven individual languages ​​that are spoken by around 130,000 people in Cameroon .

The individual languages ​​are:

  • Bakole , about 300 speakers
  • Bubia , about 600 speakers
  • Duala , around 88,000 speakers
  • Isu , about 800 speakers
  • Malimba , approx. 2230 speakers
  • Mokpwe , around 32,200 speakers
  • Wumboko , approx. 4000 speakers
