The Dunedin History Museum is a local history museum in downtown Dunedin , Florida.

The museum was established in 1970 in a former railroad depot built by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1924 . The former railway line, which was built by the Orange Belt Railway in 1888 and was last used for excursions on March 8, 1987, depot from nearby Tarpon Springs and back was converted into a section of the Pinellas Trail in the 1990s .

The museum contains 2,000 artifacts, 2,500 photographs and a library of books that provide a lot of information about Dunedin's past. It also hosts permanent exhibits on Honeymoon Island , local life, the founding of Dunedin, the military presence in the city, Florida's railways, and the citrus industry. The museum offers special programs for local schools and adult education.
