The Dungeon Provincial Park ( dungeon English for "dungeon" or "dungeon") is a provincial park in the east of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Newfoundland Island .

location

The only 2 hectare provincial park was founded in 1983. It is located on Lance Cove not far from the tip of the Bonavista Peninsula . The municipality of Bonavista is located 2.5 km southwest of the provincial park. The provincial park only offers infrastructure for day use (picnic areas, outhouse).

Dungeon

The attraction of the provincial park is a collapsed sea grotto with two rock arches . This was cut out of the rock by the sea.
