The monastery Dzingchi ( Tib. RDzing phyi ) is a monastery of Kadam -School, the first Sarma -Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . It was founded in the 10th century by Garmi Yönten Yungdrung , a student of Lachen Gongpa Rabsel (892–975 or 952–1035). It is located in the municipality of the same name in Sangri County of Shannan (Lhokha) administrative district in the south of the Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China . The monastery has been on the list of monuments of the Tibet Autonomous Region since 2009 .
