Architecture and technologies used

eEvolution is a client-server application. It is developed with the programming language C # on the .NET Framework. Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle are used as databases .

As development technologies MVVM pattern based on the Composite Application Framework , Windows Presentation Foundation , LLBLGen (O / R mapper) and Language Integrated Query used.

By creating the technological and organizational prerequisites for continuous further development of the installed base, eEvolution has been delivering small patches, updates or enhancement packages instead of large release jumps since 2012.

Software customization

eEvolution can be adapted to individual requirements by the user or the partner using customizing and scripting .

When customizing , settings are made on the standard product in order to map the company structure and company processes on the software side. The adjustments can be made with the iCustomizer developed by eEvolution GmbH & Co KG, which adjusts the application individually at runtime. The iCustomizer uses the technologies available in .NET such as reflection to be able to access the properties of the program objects at runtime.

With scripting , event-related individual program code can be executed. Parts of the free, integrated development environment SharpDevelop are installed here as the programming environment .

Community

The involvement of customers and partners in the development and operation of the software system is a major concern of the manufacturer. The eEvolution conference and regionally organized Community Days have been around since 2007. In addition, the introduced wiki for eEvolution wikiERP.de as well as the eEvolution magazine, which appears twice, promotes the community idea.

Furthermore, there has been a cooperation with the HAWK Hildesheim and the University of Hildesheim for more than 10 years . The following teaching assignment has existed since 2016 in cooperation with the University of Hildesheim: Mapping a trading company in an ERP system.
