ELC steel

ELC stands for extra low carbon (very low carbon content ). These are austenitic CrNi steels with a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, which are used to prevent intergranular corrosion . Due to their good formability, the steels are mainly used for screws, bolts, nuts and rivets.
