EMF database

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The EMF database is a freely accessible database for researching radio systems that require a location certificate ( location certificate ).

The database was set up by the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railways (BNETZA). The Federal Network Agency thus provides information on the safety distances to be observed for personal protection from transmitting antennas, which emit an equivalent isotropic radiation power (EIRP) of 10 watts and more.

The user can call up map sections by entering a zip code or by entering a location. In the map excerpt selected in this way, radio systems in operation that require a location certificate are displayed. The locations at which the local immissions from radio systems were recorded by measurement are also displayed.

On July 14, 2010, the Federal Network Agency put an improved version of its database for electromagnetic fields (EMF) into operation. Data on 11,847 field strength measurements, 82,260 transmitter locations and 552,777 rated transmission antennas are available for this online research.

This database is not complete. On request, however, the Federal Network Agency checks unbureaucratically whether a system that is not recorded in the database is approved.
