History and construction

In the late 1980s, ENAER decided to produce not only for the military, but also for the civilian market. In 1986, the development of a light training aircraft, the Ñamcu, began . The machine is designed as a single-engine low-wing aircraft with a fixed nose wheel landing gear and is made almost entirely of composite materials. It is powered by a Lycoming O 235 N2C boxer engine with 84 kW. The two pilots sit next to each other in the cockpit. The aircraft was to be offered as a kit for amateur construction. Two of the prototypes crashed in the course of flight tests. The development was stopped after five prototypes.
