The footballers of the club rose in 1958 for the first time in the group north of the 1st amateur league Bavaria , in which they succeeded in the 1958/59 season with 13th place to stay. In the season 1959/60 the ESV reached the seventh place, in the season 1960/61 the eighth place and in the season 1961/62 the runner-up championship. The ninth place in the table in the season 1962/63 was not enough for the qualification for the single-track 1st amateur league. After that, the top Bavarian amateur class was not reached again.
