The well-known sports presenter and journalist Sven Voss has been moderating the knowledge magazine ECHT since it started broadcasting in September 2005 . The editorial responsibility for the program lies with the MDR television editorial office science and education in the program area culture and science.
history
After the pilot episode in June 2005, the MDR's science magazine went on air for the first time on September 27, 2005. The official title was "REAL!". Sven Voss from IMA hosted the premiere in Dresden. There, the air giant from Airbus, the A380, was subjected to the so-called endurance test for the first time. Since then, ECHT has been on MDR television every second Tuesday. First, polythematically current topics were taken up and processed with background information. The program received the subtitle “Das Magazin zum Staunen” in 2008. Today, the program has a monothematic concept. With presentations at the places where science takes place - in laboratories, test rooms, and on the object itself - a complex topic is explained in many ways at ECHT.
subjects
The program takes up topics from all scientific disciplines, in particular from the natural sciences, economics, technology and geography. Design elements are in particular archive material and own material in the form of recreated scenes and interviews with scientists. The program serves as a bridge between science and viewers to convey complex specialist topics. Current events, unusual phenomena and explosive things from everyday life are the framework stories in which complex scientific processes are clearly explained. Scientists from the transmission area help with this. Your competence gives the magazine the necessary credibility. The moving stories of contemporary witnesses bring emotions.
